Hi Again! I didn’t even give you time to miss me 🙂 I’m feeling a bit better today. I can actually taste food so that means as soon as I finish this blog post there will be taco dip, yummy, yummy taco dip, eaten by me. Advocare All In starts Monday so this is my Last Hurrah!

I’m trying to work through some of my older SSS card kits that I’ve had and use them with some of the great new stamps sets that I’ve gotten (so I can justify buying more of course). The Cat’s Pajamas current challenge is Anything Goes–TCPTUES305! I used the Wreath Building Kit stamp set for the Greetings banner and sprig.

One of my goals for this year is to try and send more Happy Mail. We all have SO many cards we make and it’s wonderful to get fun mail just because. Because of that, a lot of the cards I’m making this year are either going to be birthday or just a “Hi”, “Hello” or “Greetings” sentiment so this is perfect! Now…TACO DIP!

Well…I’m back to reality from my crafty retreat. Bummer. But you can all still pretend I’m on vacation since I’ll be posting more of what I finished there. I was able to work three of my goals into this card: Using the flair buttons I got from…(who knows where), using papers from some of my Simon Says Stamp card kits that I love, but that have been piling up, and using the pieces of a Halloween themed kit I bought from a friend.

First up, the sketch. This one is from Retro Sketches.

Square cards are CRAZY hard for me…so I modified it to a good ol’ A2. But everything else is still there.

Next, add a panda. I mean, you should ALWAYS add a panda. And Anything Goes when the panda’s in da house! 🙂

My Pandamonium set from Mama Elephant is probably the most used stamp set I own. Thanks Makalah! So here’s the result:

I used the Simon Says Stamp Card Kit papers from April 2014. Simon Says “Make Something!” 🙂 I don’t usually use bright primary colors, but this seemed like a good opportunity. Added benefit? The heart flair button matches! Also, the orange polka dot button and the “button” brads from the Halloween kit were able to make an appearance! I just bought that arrow Close to my Heart washi tape from my friend at the retreat. Since I used it, I’m now completely justified in buying it.  I imagine he’s bursting in the door of the party saying “Hi!” and everyone turns, smiles and yells “Panda’s here!!!” 🙂

Just this weekend I made my first square card! Today I found another sketch challenge with a square card and I thought I’d give it another try. This is from the Create Blog and the sketch from the CARDS Blog challenge for February is below.

February Blog Challenge Sketch

And here is my take!

A Skyful of Hello!

A Skyful of Hello!

I used paper from the February Simon Says Stamp card kit and some cloud dies. I popped one of the clouds and the sentiment off the front panel which is itself popped off of the card base. I even grabbed the good ol’ scalloped scissors to cut the edges! Haven’t used those in awhile. The sentiment is from Amy Tangerine.

Thanks for stopping by and come back soon (or sign-up to follow my blog!) for my week-long self-imposed series of Play Every Day!
