I LOVE the idea of a Craft Hoarders challenge. Although, I don’t call myself a hoarder; I’m a “Collector”. If I “collect” things, then it’s okay if I don’t use them! 🙂 BUT, I did try and use a little bit of the old and a little bit of the new in this card for the Craft Hoarders Anonymous challenge. For this challenge there was a sketch and a twist. The twist was that we must use something old and something new in the same project. I also gave myself a little extra challenge and made a “mom size” 5 x 7″ card instead of my usual “small” size.
And here is my take:
This card was inspired by my friend Anne who likes all things Lime Green. 🙂 The new items on this card are the washi tape in the top corner, the SU butterfly punch that I JUST opened, and the chipboard doily circle. I’ve had the MFT You’re Just my Type Die and Stamp set for a long time, but I haven’t ever used it so that’s my bridge between the new and old. The oldest items are the flowers and the rhingestones that are leftover from an Archiver’s class (RIP) that I took who KNOWS how long ago. The patterned papers are from the American Crafts Dots & Stripes pack and the plain lime is a glimmer scrap from, again, who knows where. I use patterned papers on almost everything so the new Work it Wednesday challenge from Simon Says Stamp and the Crafty Hazelnut’s Patterned Paper Challenge are perfect too! I mean, I have to use patterned papers on everything. How else would I justify my bookcase of 6×6 pads?!? Oh Yeah! COLLECTING!
