At first I wasn’t sure about the whole stencil trend. I REALLY didn’t need a new supply to collect. But after playing with them for awhile, they are SO MUCH FUN! And there are tons of great techniques you can do with them. The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge of a Clean and Simple (CAS) card using Hero Arts products was perfect for this.

I used the Falling Snow stencil from Simon Says Stamp to make glittering raindrops by applying VersaMark ink through the stencil then applying the new Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder that I am currently obsessed with. It’s a little hard to see in the picture so I tried to get a better shot just to highlight the shine.

Shiny!

Love it! The sentiment is from the Hero Arts set My Favorite and is also embossed in Liquid Platinum. The label die is from the Small Tag Frame set from Hero Arts. I used my new Stampin’ Up butterfly punch to add a little punch of color 🙂 Thanks to Jackie for sharing her fun border with me. I love the sparkle and the simple circles. Happy Dance!

I really enjoy sketch challenges. They provide a great framework to let your creativity fly. I find having a few restrictions to actually be very freeing. The sketch I used this time is from My Favorite Things for their Sketch Challenge.

And here is my take on it.

Sketch Challenge for My Favorite Things by Crafting{Without}Kids

Instead of a banner, I used a stamp and die from the My Favorite Things Grand Peaceful Wildflowers set. I LOVE how the stamps and dies work together. That flower would have been really difficult to cut out. The frame is from Spellbinders and is called Reflective Moment. It’s my first time using that die and I think it’s really beautiful. I combined two sentiments from the MFT stamp set Right on Target. The patterned papers are from Webster’s Pages Park Drive and the base is MFT cardstock.

I love how Springy this card turned out. It’s a perfect pick-me-up card after this long Winter. Thanks for stopping by!

My mom gave me a pack of the amazing Lawn Fawn notecards in Wild Rose so I thought the Little Tangles Mini Cards Challenge would be the perfect chance to try them out.

Mmmm…Cupcakes…

Bling!

I wish the color had come out better on these… The actual color is more of a salmon rose and is just gorgeous. Ranger’s Liquid Platinum embossing powder was used on both cards. I blame Jennifer McGuire and the AMAZING people at Ranger for getting me addicted to that. 🙂

I used the Neat & Tangles set Sketchy Cupcakes on the first card. The sentiment is from Neat & Tangles Across the Card.

On the second card, I used Neat & Tangles Sparkle & Shine for the bling and sentiment. The banner is from Party Dots.

It was great to play with a new size. Thanks for having this fun challenge!

We got amazing news awhile back that the wonderful neighbors we had when we moved into our house, were moving BACK in next door after moving away.

HOORAY!!!!!

They’ve recently had a little boy and his birthday is the PERFECT chance to use my Paper Smooches Cuteasaurus stamp set for their Anything Goes challenge.

Paper Smooches Cuteasaurus

ROAR!

Since he’s only 4 weeks old (Happy Birthday Philip!), I’m pretty sure he won’t appreciate how adorable the parade of dinosaurs is. But that’s ok. His mom might 🙂 I colored the palm tree with colored pencils and he has glittery blades on his back. The enamel triangles are from We are Memory Keepers.

Welcome to the my little corner of the Pretty Pink Posh Shaker Card Blog Hop!

bloghop

This is my first attempt at a shaker card and I will admit to a lot of false starts, middles and even ends! I was working on my card at a crop and I’m sure that didn’t help as I was distracted with door prizes, coerced by candy and sidetracked by shiny things.

But here he is in all his shakery glory!

Isn’t he cute? I think he looks pretty dang smart in his spring hat. The stamps are all from Lawn Fawn. The deer and the sentiment are from Into the Woods and the hat is from Hats Off to You. I LOVE that set! You can make any image perfect for any occasion just by changing out the hat. The sequins are Lawn Fawn too, called Let’s Polka.

I also got to play with my new Tim Holtz Mini Distress inks and the new mini foam blending tool to create my sky and shade the rolling hills. I already own all of the inks (of course), so I didn’t think I would buy these. But after my first trip to a crop, I can say that having a “travel set” is a must. I’m going to go and buy the rest of them ASAP (and you should too). 🙂

On to another blog! Hop on!
