I thought the new Little Tangles challenge to make a monochromatic card wouldn’t be that bad. All I had to do was pick a color and I was good to go, right?

Yeah, I was Wrong.

It was quite the challenge to add depth and interest with only the one color (and accent of silver). I found papers that I liked right away, but they were competing with each other. Thank goodness I was at a crop and my trusty friend Makalah suggested using the vellum–GENIUS! It really helped to add another tint by adding the slight white of the vellum.

Awww…I think they like each other!

I used the birds from the Neat & Tangled set My Heart Sings and SkyLark pattern paper from CTMH. I used some Washi tape (man I LOVE Washi tape!), to attach the vellum to the card base. The silver paper is the DCWV Gliz paper. Definitely my favorite of all the glitter papers. Some of my new favorite SU ribbon finished it off. This wasn’t the easiest card I’ve ever made,  but I like how it turned out in the end and I hope you do too!
