I chose two different sized striped papers and then die cut them with the Bella Bloom die from Simon Says Stamp. I chose the background paper so that it mimics the dark stripes of the dress, but I also really liked that the stripes are actually stitching since the inspiration is a garment. Normally, I wouldn’t use so many patterns on one card, but I think since they are all variations of a stripe, they work. And no card would be complete without a few enamel dots!
Runway Inspired Challenge #45

Hi! This is the final card that I made last Saturday on World Card Making Day, but I finished it about 2am, so I wasn’t up for a 5th blog post that day. This one was designed for the Runway Inspired Challenge #45. This is always a fun challenge. It’s interesting to take inspiration from one medium and transform it into another so that it is still recognizable.
The first thing you notice are the bold stripes of color. So I took my cue from those.
