I’ve been making things since I was in Junior High. I remember taking a class with my mom at JoAnn Fabrics learning to make friendship bracelets. They even showed us how to add beads and I thought that was the coolest thing in the world! How those silly little beads take hold. Never would I have imagined how many I now have at my disposal.
Then I moved on to making beaded necklaces. That was my first business venture as I sold them to classmates and friends. It was really exciting to be making things I loved and then seeing that others enjoyed them too.
Since the beaded necklaces, I have bounced all over. Skipping from craft to craft has been like reading a hypertext story or a Choose Your Own Adventure book. I know they all connect in some way and as each new crafty adventure brings me deeper into it, it can just as easily slingshot me back to where I began with whole new experiences to apply the second (or third) time around.
My mom is the craftiest lady I know and I wish I knew how to do half the things she does. She could definitely give Martha Stewart a run for her money! We are constantly showing each other new tips, techniques, and projects. It’s wonderful and terrible! I just get addicted to more and more.
So…that’s a bit more about me. Sorry there are no pictures, but I’ll make up for it soon. Promise 🙂
